Arizona Cardinals Tickets
Cardinals defensive end Bertrand Berry spent last weekend in Jacksonville, Florida, site of Super Bowl XXXIX where he visited a local children's hospital, took part in the NFL~Rs Rebuilding Together project, and signed autographs at the NFL Experience.
After a brief stop back in Phoenix, Berry and his immediate family and a handful of friends departed for Oahu for the 2005 NFL Pro Bowl.
Berry, who finished the season with 14.5 sacks will start for the NFC team in his first Pro Bowl appearance this Sunday. Some players bow out of the Pro Bowl because of the risk of suffering injury, but Berry welcomes the chance to shine on this particular stage.
"I think any true competitor would love to show their skills against the best of the best," explained Berry. "Of course it's not going to be the same atmosphere as a regular season game or playoff game but I think guys enjoy the experience and guys have a lot of fun with it."
Pro Bowl practices usually only last an hour and are known for the leisurely pace, but it was a profound moment when Berry visited the NFC Pro Bowl locker room.
Season Holders' Cardinals Tickets."The first time I walked into the locker room and I saw all the jerseys and helmets of the different players and seeing mine with them all, that was definitely a touching moment for myself," Berry revealed to Cardinals media in a conference call on Thursday. "I almost got caught up in the moment. That was a special moment for me."
Known for organizing weekly team camaraderie dinners, Berry is also enjoying spending time at the beach and by the hotel pool with some of the NFL's elite, and said that he~Rs heard a lot of positive comments from players around the league.
"A lot of guys are saying how much faster we've played and how much more aggressive we~Rve been and just how fast the play is on defense and offense," stated Berry. "I think we~Rve really gotten the respect of a lot of people from around the league and people are starting to recognize that we~Rre a legit team.
"It's been encouraging and hopefully this year was the building of something very special in Arizona of only bigger and better things."
